Internship - Accounting Technology/Technician and Bookkeeping

Catalog description

A work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills and concepts. A learning plan is developed by the college and the employer. Mentored and supervised by a workplace employee, the student achieves objectives that are developed and documented by the college and that are directly related to specific occupational outcomes. This may be a paid or unpaid experience. This course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary. The student will work a minimum of 12 hours per week at an accounting job approved by the Accounting Internship Advisor. Additionally, the student will meet with an Accounting Instructor for one hour per week to review their progress and discuss related issues.
