Catalog description
This course is the first in a sequence of two consecutive semesters for the School Social Work Specialization Field Placement. Students will experience practice in a school setting under the instruction of a qualified practitioner, completing a minimum of 600 hours over two semesters. Advanced practice skills are developed during this field placement. The 9 Core Competencies of Social Work Practice will be reinforced through Field Workshop activities throughout the field placement, and will be measured at the middle and end of the internship experience.
