Advanced Applied Strings

Catalog description

This course is primarily intended for music majors or minors in Strings (Bass, Cello, Viola, Violin). Non-majors who are highly motivated or advanced may be included by permission. String players work individually with an instructor to gain and refine mastery of the technique of playing. Exploration of musical style and interpretation will be emphasized. Performance on Studio Class or Student Recital and jury performance for music faculty are required. Attendance may be required at live concerts, some of which may be off campus and/ or evenings with additional ticket charges. This course may be repeated for credit.
