Junior Seminar: Using History

Why study history? What work does it do in the world? How is it used-and abused? Because stories about the past supply much of the glue that holds societies together, along with justifications for claims about how societies should function, these are essential questions. This seminar, the second in the three­course sequence at the core of the Aurora University history major, explores these and other topics, while developing students' communication and research skills in preparation for the senior capstone project.
