This course examines financial management and managerial accounting methodologies as they apply to healthcare. Students will gain the capabilities and skills for practicing professional excellence in financial decision-making in healthcare organizations, including hospitals, clinical practices, health insurance providers and other not-for-profit organizations. The course provides managers and professionals with the financially quantitative knowledge needed for planning, controlling and managing in contemporary health care organizations. Introduces the basic business finance approaches to decisions-making and governance, as well as advanced applications within the healthcare sector.
