Catalog description

Environmental studies is a subject that requires an understanding of issues transcending geographic and disciplinary boundaries to address local, regional, national, and global challenges. This course provides an introduction to the field by exploring the cultural, ethical, political, scientific, historical, and economic dimensions of human-environment interactions. Students will analyze evidence, arguments, and concepts through multiple disciplinary lenses, consider past and present environmental challenges, and examine efforts to understand and address them.
