Ecology and Evolution

Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to evolutionary biology including examinations of evidence for evolution, mechanisms of evolutionary change, adaptation, speciation, extinction, and history of life. This course also provides an introduction to ecological principles and their interactions of organisms with the environment (living and non-living). Topics include organism's relationships to its environment, population, ecology, species interactions, community ecology, and ecosystem ecology.
