Students will hone skills as active readers, researchers, and persuasive writers. Students will encounter multiple genres and perspectives, consider issues of authority and credibility, and refine evidence-based claims through a process of reflection and revision. By promoting original thought and the clear expression of ideas, this course prepares students for a rigorous education in the liberal arts.
