Pediatric Surgery Externship (4 to 8 Credit Hours)

Catalog description

Increased knowledge and skills in the field of pediatric surgery and in the care of pediatric surgical patients. The student will perform accurate and thorough history and physical examination on pediatric surgical inpatients and outpatients. Students will participate with increasing responsibility under supervision in the evaluation and preoperative and postoperative care of pediatric surgical patients. Lecture Hours: 20 Contact Hours: 40 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
