General Surgery Off-Campus Externship (4 to 8 Credit Hours)

Catalog description

Students may elect off-campus experience in some phase of surgery in some other medical school or institution for a period of one to two months. For help in making arrangements, interested students should contact the Medical College of Georgia counterpart of the individual at the other institution with whom they wish to work. Such electives must be an identifiable course of instruction. An evaluation of student’s performance will be required. No student is eligible for more than one such elective. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit up to 3 times.
