Language Development and Communication Disorders

Catalog description
Students will study how language typically develops, theories related to etiology of language disorders, and the effects of language disorders on functioning for children with disabilities. Students will learn approaches for remediating language disabilities and will apply them in authentic settings. Thirty hours of field experience is required. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
