Characteristics of Students with Mild Disabilities

Catalog description
An introductory course in mild disabilities which covers perpectives on disability and issues in identification, instruction, and placement. Cognitive and perceptual characteristics, language characteristics, academic learning characteristics, and social-emotional characteristics of students with mild disabilities will be discussed in this course. A 25-hour field experience with P-12 students is required in the course. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
