Catalog description
This course provides students with the fundamental knowledge, skills and values necessary for generalist social work practice. The focus of the course includes both the acquisition of analytical knowledge and the attainment of core interpersonal and problem solving skills. Development of self awareness and self knowledge related to growth in these skills and a beginning identity as a social work professional will also be emphasized. Prerequisite(s): SOWK 1101 >= B Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
