An introduction to the analysis of social data, including the quantification of data for computer application, use of SPSS (statistical package) for analyzing data, logic of statistical inference. Additional topics covered include statistical techniques for analyzing data, including univariate, bivariate, and multivariate social statistics, and the reporting of research findings. Prerequisite(s): POLS 2101 >= C or SOCI 1160 >= C Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
