Catalog description
An introduction to social stratification with a primary emphasis on theories of stratification and on an empirical examination of the American class structure. Includes historical-comparative material and addresses other dimensions of inequality such as race, ethnicity, sex, and age as they interact with social class. Prerequisite(s): ( SOCI 1160 >= D) and ( SOCI 1101 >= D or SOCI 1101H >= D or SOCI 1103 >= D or PSYC 1103 >= D) Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
