Adult Externship Seminar

Catalog description
In conjunction with the Adult Externship, graduate students attend a 50-minute weekly class meeting to guide self-reflection of their supervised clinical training. Self-reflection focuses on self-evaluation as an independent clinician and soon-to-be entry-level SLP including evaluation of extern-patient communication, plan of care, complete diagnostic assessment and therapeutic intervention tasks, written documentation, time management, and to ensure CALIPSO platform is implemented correctly. Students identify strengths and areas to improve each week based on their knowledge and skills goals for the semester. This weekly class meeting also serves as a supplemental student advising session. Corequisite(s): SECR 6601 Other Hours: 1 Contact Hours: 1 Repeatability: May be repeated for credit up to 2 times.
