Clinical Practicum III

Catalog description
During this third and final clinical practicum, Level Two graduate students participate in direct patient/client contact while supervised by an ASHA-certified clinical preceptor(s) across a variety of therapeutic settings. Development and application of appropriate evidence-based evaluation and treatment plans, collaborative supervisory meetings, self-analysis skills, and completion of written documentation via CALIPSO are expected. Adhering to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) standards as dictated by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) in SLP, and in accordance with The Council for Clinical Certification in SLP (CFCC) standards for professional certification, graduate students are required to obtain a minimum of 400 clock hours (375 supervised clinical practicum) for graduation. Corequisite(s): SLPP 6401 and SLPP 6402 and SLPP 6403 and SLPP 6404 and SLPP 6406 Lecture Hours: 1 Contact Hours: 1 Repeatability: May be repeated for credit up to 2 times.
