Clinical Practicum II

Catalog description
During this second clinical practicum, Level Two graduate students participate in direct patient/client contact while supervised by an ASHA-certified clinical preceptor(s) across a variety of therapeutic settings. Development and application of appropriate evidence-based evaluation and treatment plans, collaborative supervisory meetings, self-analysis skills, and completion of written documentation via CALIPSO are expected. Adhering to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) standards as dictated by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) in SLP and in accordance with The Council for Clinical Certification in SLP (CFCC) standards for professional certification, graduate students are required to obtain a minimum of 400 clock hours (375 supervised clinical practicum) for graduation. Corequisite(s): SLPP 5301 and SLPP 5302 and SLPP 5303 and SLPP 5304 and SLPP 5305 and SLPP 5307 Lecture Hours: 1 Contact Hours: 1 Repeatability: May be repeated for credit up to 2 times.
