Processes of Clinical Practicum and Interprofessional Education

This course covers the fundamentals and soft skills required before entering Clinical Practicums I, II, and III. It reviews the basic aspects of professionalism, time management, practicum expectations, treatment delivery, communication skills, interpersonal skills, behavioral management skills, intervention strategies, data collection, and documentation. In addition, the course provides information about the web-based application Clinical Assessment of Learning Inventory of Performance Streamlined Office Operations (CALIPSO) for documentation of student clinical competencies, supervision, and hours via interactive and customized data dashboards that enable knowledge management between the clinical administrator, supervisor, and student including an overview of the Level One, Two, and Three CALIPSO Clinical Competencies Rating Scales.
