Catalog description

Provides a basic understanding of communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan. Students are required to complete a minimum of 25 hours of guided clinical observations under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist who holds a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Students also gain experience describing speech and language using both oral and written communication. Lecture Hours: 3 Contact Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
