Catalog description

This course allows students to demonstrate their understanding of the necessary information in security studies, which will help them pass the comprehensive exam. Students must outline and organize the major themes, theories, scholars, and texts covering their subfield to help them prepare for the comprehensive exam. As such, this course integrates the research from the courses completed through the students’ dissertation process. Students are expected to take their comprehensive exam during this course. Students may repeat the course or retake the comprehensive exams in alignment with the Comprehensive Exam Policy. The exam will cover security studies in general and the student’s specific area of emphasis. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit.
