An advanced research-based exploration of the theory and policy associated with the development of the U.S. Intelligence Community, intelligence collection, operations, intelligence analysis, and other important policy considerations within the context of global security challenges. Students engage with complex case studies, current methodologies in intelligence analysis, and the evolving landscape of intelligence operations in the digital era. The course also examines ethical considerations, legal frameworks, and the role of intelligence in democratic societies. Through a blend of lectures and online exercises, students gain comprehensive insights into the higher-level functioning of intelligence agencies and their role in national and international security.
