Examines how evolving technologies, including artificial intelligence, affect domestic and international security. The first part of the course focuses on defining and conceptualizing evolving technologies and artificial intelligence. The second part of the course analyzes how evolving technologies and artificial intelligence can affect domestic stability and security. The third part of the course examines how evolving technologies and artificial intelligence are being incorporated in the areas of defense and information warfare. The fourth part of the course focuses on how evolving technology and artificial intelligence affect the international balance of power between states and global security. The last part of the course considers future directions regarding the effects evolving technology and artificial intelligence can have on stability, international competition, and domestic and global security.
