Public Health and Medical Intelligence: Security and Civilian Principles and Applications

Catalog description

Students will examine the different historical and current definitions of public health and medical intelligence. They will also become acquainted with different theories and principles, and they will also understand the proper use and role of both security and public health/epidemiological applications. Case studies will review military and civilian examples and utilization in guiding strategic and operational decisions. The course is designed to illustrate the role intelligence collection plays within public health and international security. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
