An in-depth exploration of the unique dental challenges faced when treating older adults. As the population ages, dental professionals must be equipped with specialized knowledge and skills to address the complex needs of geriatric patients. Students gain insights into the physiological, pharmacological, and psychological aspects of aging that impact dental care. Topics range from managing medically compromised patients to understanding the links between oral and systemic health, and from prosthodontic challenges to effective communication strategies with older adults. Students are prepared to deliver comprehensive, compassionate, and effective dental care to the elderly population.
