Catalog description

Application of physics learned in RADT 4800 to radiation oncology. Concepts of dose distribution in tissue patient treatment approaches and planning techniques. Calculation systems for photon, electron, and brachytherapy treatments included and all modification factors for treatment devices, patient geometry and machine parameters considered in-depth. Course designed to augment the student’s clinical knowledge from rotations in radiation therapy and medical dosimetry. Prerequisite(s): admission to the RADT program or permission of instructor.
