Professional Practice Expectation II (Professional Socialization) is designed to increase the student’s awareness of interactions with clients and colleagues in the healthcare system. As a result of this course, the student will become more aware of their patterns of communication as well as having the opportunity to practice effective interaction skills (both oral and written) in a culturally competent manner. This course also examines both the patient’s and clinician’s response to illness and students are introduced to the concepts of confidentiality and informed consent. Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 1 Contact Hours: 1 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
