Clinical Physiology I

Catalog description

Provides students with the opportunity to develop the necessary foundational knowledge of normal physiology and pathophysiology of the musculoskeletal system as a basis for physical therapy examination and treatment. The impact of energy metabolism on growth, aging, and exercise is explored. Provides instruction in exercise science as a strong foundation on which the principles of therapeutic exercise are applied. The role of exercise is to improve function, prevent dysfunction, and facilitate recovery from injury and disease throughout the lifespan.
