Catalog description
The thesis is an independent research project conducted under the supervision of a faculty supervisor. All students pursuing the thesis option must complete a thesis proposal before data collection and defend their completed thesis to a faculty committee. Most thesis students will enroll in PSYC 6990 during the semester they write their thesis proposal and again during the semester they collect data and finish writing the thesis. May be repeated for credit; only six hours of credit count toward the Master in Science degree. Prerequisite(s): Completion of a minimum of 18 graduate hours in psychology with a B average or better, and approval of the thesis option on the student’s plan of study. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit.
