Catalog description
This course provides students with the opportunity to experience and learn the scientific fundamentals of physiological research by working on an original research project in the laboratory of an Augusta University faculty member. This course will include an in-depth look at the key elements in the scientific method including: asking important questions/making observations, performing literature reviews, formulating hypotheses, designing experiments to test the hypotheses, obtaining and analyzing data, and presenting the data in written and verbal formats. Students will present the results of their research projects in oral presentation. Lab Hours: 6 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
