Catalog description

Students work closely with their major advisor on an in-depth study of a research problem of interest to both student and advisor. This course culminates in the preparation of a PhD dissertation. Permanent assignment to a specific lab with a major advisor and a defined research project. Enrollment in this course requires offical admission to candidacy. Lab Hours: 40 Repeatability: May be repeated for credit.
