Contemporary Ethical Issues

Catalog description

A critical, analytic examiniation of contemporary ethical issues such as abortion, captial punishment , torture, and penalties for hate speech. Students will learn how to assess the pros and cons of an ethical position, how to develop an ethical argument in support of a position, and how to critically evaluate an opposing point of view. Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing or permission of the instructor. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
