Catalog description

The course examines the major ethical theories and philosophers as represented in the virtue-ethics, utilitarian and deontological ethical traditions. The focus of the course will be on a critical examination of the rational basis of our moral duties and will raise questions about the status of moral beliefs and judgments. Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing or permission of instructor. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
