Catalog description

Prerequisites: Successful completion of PA didactic coursework. Assignment to surgical team to learn routine surgical management of both inpatients and outpatients. Emphasis on preoperative evaluation and preparatory procedures, assisting at the operating table, and management of patients from preoperative period through to discharge. Contact Hours: 40 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
