Catalog description

Prerequisites: Admission to the PA program, successful completion of summer, fall and spring semester coursework. Clinically oriented didactic and lab skills course used as a foundation for clinical rotations in surgery and emergency medicine. Focus on common surgical conditions encountered in surgical settings. Primary goals are to present concepts and principles which characterize disciplines of surgery and to provide basic surgical skills using case-based instruction. Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 2 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
