Catalog description

Prerequisites: Admission to the PA program, successful completion of summer, fall, and spring semester coursework. Clinically oriented didactic course used as a foundation for clinical rotations in emergency medicine. Focus on common acute conditions encountered in primary care and surgical settings. Primary goals are to present concepts and principles which characterize discipline of emergency medicine and to provide basic ER skills using case-based instruction. Lecture Hours: 2 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
