Catalog description
The goal of this course is to introduce fourth-year students to their upcoming role as teachers during pediatric residency. Pediatric Student Chiefs help orient third-year students to expectations of the Pediatric Clerkship. Student Chiefs serve as student leaders and are available to the third-year students on the Pediatric Clerkship for support and guidance. Chiefs act as a liaison between students and faculty and participate in bedside and formal teaching. Chiefs work with the Clerkship Director to refine teaching and leadership skills and promote a better educational experience for third-year students. Prerequisite(s): PEDS 5000 Lecture Hours: 4 Other Hours: 4 Contact Hours: 8 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
