Newborn Nursery Sub-I (4 to 8 Credit Hours)

Catalog description

Student will act in the same capacity as a first year house officer. Student will be responsible for admit and discharge examinations, attendance at deliveries and management of well infants and those with minor problems under the supervision of a pediatric resident and general pediatric faculty member. Four in-house call nights are required, as chosen by the student. Lecture Hours: 10 Contact Hours: 40 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
