Oncologic Pathology
Augusta University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Oncologic Pathology is designed as an introduction to pathology for clinical and basic science researchers. Pathology samples are an integral part of translational research, yet oftentimes even established researchers are unfamiliar with differences in normal histology versus pre-neoplastic/neoplastic transformation processes. Through Oncologic Pathology, participants will gain an understanding of these processes, as well as standard tissue processing methods, molecular techniques used in clinical and research settings, and common molecular pathways and mutations involved in oncogenesis. Lecture Hours: 2 Contact Hours: 2 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit. Grade Mode: S-Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory Click here for the Schedule of Classes.
