Catalog description
The purpose of this course is to provide a sociological analysis of “deviance” with an emphasis on the social construction of deviance and deviant behavior. The course explores major theoretical explanations for understanding and defining who and what gets defined as deviant and under what circumstances as well as the social organization of deviance. Prerequisite(s): Permission of the MPA Director. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
