Catalog description

This course is composed of three blocks. The first block addresses hard tissue biology in which the anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry of bone and teeth are emphasized. The second block is devoted to temporomandibular joint disorders, and emphasizes the fundamental basic science that is essential in understanding the clinical problems related to the temporomandibular joint. The third block is regeneration/repair of orofacial tissues and emphasizes growth and differentiation of hard and soft tissues and the biochemical basis of wound healing. Lecture Hours: 2 Contact Hours: 1 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
