OBGYN Clinical Anatomy Readiness Course

Catalog description

This 4-week course aims to strengthen already obtained anatomy knowledge of regions essential for students seeking to enter an OBGYN residency. It reviews anatomical knowledge and dissection skills, while also practicing and observing clinically relevant procedures in the realm of OBGYN. This course includes 4 different components students must complete in order to receive elective credit: cadaveric dissection, assisting in the 1st year medical student anatomy laboratory, practice of clinically relevant procedures using cadaveric materials and/or simulations, and observation/participation in these procedures within a clinical setting. By the end of the course, students should feel confident in their anatomical knowledge and understanding related to OBGYN anatomy and be proficient in their knowledge and ability to demonstrate/perform common clinical procedures to prepare them for a OBGYN residency.
