Obstetrics and Gynecology Night Float Elective

Catalog description

This two-week elective provides 3rd and 4th year medical students with immersive, hands-on experience in nighttime obstetric and gynecologic care . Students will participate as active members of the night float team, assisting with the management of patients on Labor & Delivery, evaluating and triaging obstetric patients, and performing initial assessments of gynecology consults in the main Emergency Department. Emphasis will be placed on sharpening clinical decision-making, improving patient communication, and developing teamwork skills in the acute care setting.
