Nursing Anesthesia Specialty Practicum I

Catalog description

This clinical practicum allows the student to utilize the didactic and simulation concepts of the nursing anesthesia program to prioritize, develop and administer an anesthetic to patients in all ASA classifications and in a variety of anesthesia care model settings. Emphasis is placed on honing the anesthesia skills and developing independence necessary for entry-level practice. These clinical experiences will occur in collaboration with a certified registered nurse anesthetist and/or anesthesiologist. Students will complete 600 practicum hours during this course. Prerequisite(s): NURS 8363 >= B Other Hours: 10 Contact Hours: 10 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
