Patient Safety and Provider Performance

Catalog description

This course explores incidence, classification, and causes of iatrogenic disease. Systems-based strategies for the promotion of patient safety and error reduction will be discussed. Students will explore intrapersonal, social, and environmental factors influencing patient safety. Researchable questions and hypotheses pertaining to the promotion of patient safety will be developed. Contact Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
