Evidence-based practice (EBP) has been defined as the conscientious, explicit, and judicious use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients, groups, and communities. The practice of evidence-based medicine means integrating individual clinical expertise with the best available external clinical evidence from systematic research. The course utilizes the scientific methods used in EBP and the application of these methods to healthcare delivery and clinical issues. Prerequisite(s): NURS 7150 >= C Lecture Hours: 3 Other Hours: 1 Contact Hours: 4 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
