Catalog description
This course provides the student with clinical experiences within the scope of the family nurse practitioner centered on health promotion, maintenance, and management of common acute and chronic health problems of infants, children, and adolescents in primary health care settings. Emphasis is on the description of the condition or disease, etiology and incidence, clinical findings, differential diagnosis, management, complications, and preventive and patient education measures. Consideration is given to cultural and ethical issues that affect families, and health care delivery. Prerequisite(s): NURS 8311 >= B and NURS 8313 >= B Corequisite(s): NURS 8314 Contact Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
