Catalog description
Prepares adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner students to assume responsibility for health promotion, health maintenance, disease prevention,and the management of stable common acute and chronic health problems of adults and older adults. Discussion includes evidence-based non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic management of common health problems in the adult and older adult population. Criteria for consultation and indications for referral along with exploration of available community resources is also considered. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
