Mental Health Promotion and Integrated Practice

Catalog description
This course provides opportunities to apply the knowledge and skills gained in NURS 6970 in clinical practice. Students observe individuals across the lifespan, assess vulnerabilities and risks for atypical development, and mental and substance use conditions. Students select, implement, and evaluate evidence-based mental health promotion strategies and preventive interventions for at-risk children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in primary care and integrated health care settings. Students participate in individual and peer supervision sessions. Corequisite(s): NURS6970 Contact Hours: 1 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
