Catalog description

This course will apply and integrate biopsychosocial concepts and principles to the nursing process for individuals and groups. Previous course knowledge and communication skills will provide a theoretical foundation in mental health promotion, illness prevention and maintenance of the client’s (individual, family, group or community) function. During the clinical segment, the student will be responsible for the clinical management of comprehensive client care along the continuum of care in multiple mental health settings. Lecture Hours: 2 Contact Hours: 4 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
